The WWF or the World Wildlife fund is, “The world’s leading conservation organization, WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by more than one million members in the United States and close to five million globally”( “About Us”). The WWF does research and work to protect the environment, more specifically they do work to save endangered species. Since 1961 the WWF has been purchasing land doing research, helped create national parks in various countries, and donated money for the betterment of the environment. They are currently partnered with the US government to help make the fishing industry in the Gulf of California safer for the surrounding wildlife.
